    Rabbi Dr. Gerald Meister currently serves the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel as its Adviser on Israel-Christian Affairs. He is also a renowned lecturer in Comparative Jewish-Christian theology at several Roman Catholic seminaries and universities on the East and West Coast.

 

    For many years Rabbi Meister directed the Inter-Religious Department of the World Zionist Organization/Jewish Agency for Israel and undertook many diplomatic assignments in the course of his work. He was present in Jerusalem for the signing of the protocols establishing relations between Israel and the Vatican. He also participated in the process of Israel's establishing diplomatic relations with Spain and the Vatican.

 

    Rabbi Meister began his education in his native England and continued in the United States, where he studied in preparation for diplomacy and international law, and in Israel where he completed his rabbinic and theological studies. His studies also included Latin, Greek, and Arabic. Rabbi Meister is fluent in English, Hebrew, Yiddish, German, French, and Italian.

 

    He is also instrumental in establishing the Day of Prayer for the Peace (DPPJ) with Robert Stearns Eagles Wings’ Ministry. Robert Stearns, Jack Hayford and hundreds of national and international leaders along with over 100,000 churches from 167 nations came together in a monumental Gathering in NYC. DPPJ became a reality in 2002 as the Jewish community in NYC and Eagles Wings’ Ministry joined together with 1000 Jewish and Christians in NYC.

 

    Rabbi Meister now travels across the Nation bringing understanding and building relationships at conferences and gatherings among the Jewish and Christian communities.

The International Day of Prayer in 2008 is October 5th

 

The Jerusalem celebration of the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem was televised globally around the world on GOD TV. The special Day of Prayer gathering, attended by over 600 from over a dozen nations

 

 

 

 

 

 

 In 2007, we were blessed to have 167 different nations participate in the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem.

Our goal, by God's grace, is that by October 2008 we will have:
• 175 participating nations
• over 300 million participating believers
• over 300,000 participating churches
• over 1400 minutes of additional prayer from 1400 people in over 20 different countries via global teleconferencing
